A TRIP TO ‘THE LOVELIEST PLACE ON EARTH’-- THE BOSTON GLOBE

Yoga to tune up your body, mind and spirit, hiking in the magnificent Alps, comfortable accommodations and excellent cuisine at the four-star Hotel Quadratscha -- these are key ingredients of an unforgettable vacation in the sunniest part of Switzerland.  Samedan (altitude 5610 ft.), a charming village in the Upper Engadine Valley, is the starting point for many great hikes.  The village is about a 3-hour train ride from Zurich airport.  Program dates are July 14 to 21, 2007.

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to participate in this invigorating Alpine retreat.

This year we will track the footsteps of Switzerland’s favorite late 19th century artist, Giovanni Segantini.  Although Segantini painted Engadine landscapes and life, he was part of the avant garde art movement in France and all of Europe.  After seeing his impressionist paintings at the Segantini Museum in St. Moritz, we will walk his trails and  view the Engadine Valley and mountains through the artist’s eyes.
